 Hitonic MIDlet Protector modifies MIDlet JAR-files and sets various limitations to launch MIDlets (simple start up banner, simple password to launch, limiting of the work time, limiting the launch date, limiting the number of launches). This utility is useful to guard mobile phone applications created automatically, for example, through bookreaders.
The user interface is easy-to-use. You only need to specify a MIDlet JAR-file, specify a type of protection with options and press the PROTECT button.
The SIMPLE BANNER protection displays additional information during the MIDlet launch. There are some options to display of the banner text. Information displays the specified time or until pressing the key.
Then using SIMPLE PASSWORD type of protection to launch MIDlet require a password. There is option that describes a MIDlet lock type. The lock type may be ONCE (MIDlet first launch) or ALWAYS (every time during MIDlet launch).
About LIMITING OF THE WORK TIME protection. During the first MIDlet launch time and date will be stored. There is option that describes the number of days during which the MIDlet is launching. After that time the MIDlet launch will be locked. The additional information screen can be displayed during the MIDlet launch.
There is the option "Last work date" if using LIMITING THE LAUNCH DATE type of protection. After that date the MIDlet launch will be locked. Also the additional information screen can be displayed during the MIDlet launch.
There is the "Number of launches" option if using LIMITING THE NUMBER OF LAUNCHES protection. Since the end of the specified number the MIDlet launch will be locked. Also The additional information screen can be displayed during the MIDlet launch.
This program is shareware, i.e. you can test this demo version for trial period (20 day).
